The Science Investigation Awards are a state wide competition which engage students in experimental design and scientific enquiry. The Awards are for students in years 4 to 12 studying science.

The competition encourages students to use science investigation skills – how to design and test a hypothesis, manage variables and replications, write a science report and communicate results to research a topic of interest and produce a scientific investigation report in a poster form.

Ben Stockwin, CEO of PIEFA, was the head judge for the awards. He was highly impressed by the number of entries that focused on soil science. He took some photo's for us to enjoy.
