Help inform future soil research!

Soils for Life is contributing to the Soil CRC Project ‘Defining the economic and social benefits of regenerative farming systems’. Our role in the project is to create case studies to investigate the benefits that different farmers are seeing from a regenerative approach to farming.

If you are a farmer who is pursuing a regenerative approach to agriculture and want  to share your views and inform the future directions of soil research, then we want to hear from you!

What are the benefits for participants?

This is an opportunity to have your perspective heard, and join a growing community of farmers in sharing stories of change and contributing to informing future research.

Guidance for selection

We would like to hear from farmers who have different levels of experience with regenerative agriculture. We will select farmers to participate in the case study based on:

  • Having tried at least one practice of regenerating their landscape and farming system
  • Availability to participate in an interview, provide background information and do reviews.

What is the process?

Soils for Life case studies are holistic, documenting ecological, social and economic aspects of farming regeneratively. We recognise that many landscape managers already undertake their own investigations as part of understanding how their management impacts their land and production. This case study will primarily be based on an interview. Soils for Life will then draw on this foundation and at times use team experts to build evidence of ecological, economic, social impact.  You may wish to share additional data (if available) to support points you raise in the interview.

About Soils for Life

Soils for Life is an independent, non-profit organisation that works to support Australian farmers to regenerate soils, for resilient people, communities, businesses and landscapes. Read more about Soils for Life on our website.

About the Soil CRC

The Soil CRC was established to give farmers the knowledge and tools they need to make decisions on extremely complex soil management issues. It bridges the gap between soil science and farm management, ensuring that soil performance is increased not just in the short term, but in the long term.
